Artichoke lamp by Poul Henningsen

One of my all time favorite pieces is the Artichoke lamp. Made by Poul Henningsen in 1958, this design has become widely popular through retail stores like Design Within Reach. Isn't it funny how a design made so long ago can still be relevant today? I'm a strong believer that classic designs get better with time.

PRPS Fall/Winter 2009

When it comes to denim there are about a million options out there. From your $20 pairs to $4,000 APO jeans (which come with your choice of gold or platinum buttons and diamond rivets). PRPS (purpose) jeans come in around $300 to $600. The denim is made in Japan on vintage Levis looms from African cotton and they feature some of the most authentic distressing I've seen. I think they are comfortable and like the heavier weight of the denim. If Japanese fits and authentic work wear is your style theses may be for you. The picture above is from Selectism.
